| Appraisal Services: Auctions Neapolitan offers two evaluation services, Formal Appraisals written to USPAP standards, and Restricted Use Reports such as Verbal approximations of value and Electronic approximations of value.
Formal Appraisals
Auctions Neapolitan's formal written appraisals are thoroughly researched, the appropriate markets are analyzed, and the report is written to USPAP standards. They are requested by Attorneys, Trust officers, Private individuals, and others to be used for:
- Insurance
- Estate Tax
- Fair Market Analysis
- Charitable Donations
- Investment Liquidation
- Price confirmation
- Equitable distribution
- Loan collateral
Our appraisers have formal education in appraisal theory, principles, procedures, ethics, and law and are be up to date on the latest appraisal standards. Fees are never based on a percentage of the value conclusion and there is never a contingency fee. We charge a competitive hourly rate for our reports.
It is important to note that the same item may have many different appraised values depending on how you intend to use the appraisal. For instance, a value for insurance may be very different than a value for estate tax, consumer resale, or charitable contribution. At Auctions Neapolitan, we understand the many different types of values, assigned uses, and market levels and will work with you to choose the proper type of value so that you can use the appraisal correctly and effectively.
Restricted Use Reports
Verbal Approximations of Value, Presale Estimates, and Electronic Verbal Approximations of Value are examples of restricted use reports. Such reports are done as a free service to our clients. The only suitable purpose for this type of report is to provide an estimate of Market Value for the items in question.
The estimate given is based only on the readily apparent identity of the item(s), and neither further opinion nor guarantee of authenticity, genuineness, attribution or authorship is made. The verbal or email value conclusions given are unresearched and based only on our best judgment and opinion. As such, there is no warranty that the items will realize those values if offered for sale at retail, estate sale, auction or otherwise.
